This year’s Reunion – organised by Kevin and Marion Hunt – will be held at the Sgt’s Mess, RAF Waddington on Friday 28th June 2019. At present the limit is 200 attendees.

  • The Reunion will begin at 6pm with a meet and greet in the main foyer.
  • The bar will open at 7pm and go on until 2am (late extension applied for).
  • A varied menu has been put together. The tables in the function room seat 10 and will be well presented and decorated to ensure the room has a pleasing and welcoming feel to it.
  • The cost of the function is £33 per person.

Those wishing to attend need to commit to paying in any of the following ways as soon as possible:

  • OPTION 1 – Send a cheque for the full amount. Cheques to be made payable to K.R. HUNT
  • OPTION 2 – BACS transfer , please call or email Kevin for bank details
  • OPTION 3 – Cash payable by ‘Special Delivery’

SLUSH’ FUND

There have been kind offers from members of the QPD Family to make a small donation to this year’s fund. The fund will help people in genuine need to attend the Reunion. If you would like help then please contact Kevin. Everything appertaining to who we help will be treated in the strictest confidence.

CHARITY

Marion and Kevin – under the guise of THE RAF DOG HANDLERS’ CHARITY PROJECT – are official fundraisers for Help for Heroes. There will be a comprehensive sale of some excellent military related items. Full details will be posted as they progress the function organisation.

RAFFLE

There will be a raffle with all proceeds going to our chosen charities.

QPD – KENNELMAID’S BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

This was opened in 2008 and has been displayed at three Reunions. It is a tribute to ‘Absent Friends’ with some wonderful photographs which were kindly provided by friends and family members. If you have a photograph of anyone who has passed then please get in touch with Kevin. The book will be on display at the Reunion and will be housed in a quiet, reflective place for all to see.

ENTERTAINMENT

There will be an excellent disco throughout the evening with music to suit all tastes.

In the Sgt’s Mess during the afternoon (full details to be confirmed) there will be an informative talk by Group Captain (Rtd) David Robertson entitiled ‘Command In Combat’. David was Officer Commanding 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron from 2000-2003 during ‘Operation Telic’. David and Kevin have worked together for a few years fundraising for charity and Kevin knows the talk will be very interesting.

Signed books, photographs etc will be on sale with all proceeds to charity and numbers will be limited to 100. Please register your interest with Kevin as soon as possible.
